Brunswick Group announces leadership changes in Europe

Brunswick Group, the global advisory firm specializing in critical issues and corporate relations, today announced that Janos Goenczoel has been appointed European Managing Partner. Fiona Claire Littig, a Partner in Brunswick’s Munich office, has been appointed Munich Office Head.

Janos will sit on Brunswick’s Group Management Committee and report to Brunswick CEO Neal Wolin. He will continue to advise German, European and international clients on a range of critical issues, as well as lead the growth, strategy and operations of the firm’s European business. Until his appointment as European Managing Partner, Janos led the firm’s Munich Office and was co-lead of its business in Germany. His leadership capabilities and experience advising clients across multiple sectors and geographies position him well to lead the next phase of Brunswick’s growth in Europe.

Fiona Claire Littig, who joined Brunswick in 2001 and helped build the firm’s Frankfurt and Munich offices, will oversee the growth and development of Brunswick’s business in Munich, as well as continue to advise clients on a range of different issues.

About Janos Goenczoel

Janos has more than 30 years of experience helping companies in critical situations and has advised on, among other things, M&A, crises, restructuring, litigation and corporate and CEO positioning. He joined Brunswick in 2010 and established the Munich office in 2011. Before joining Brunswick, Janos was Global Head of Corporate Communications at Siemens; Chairman, European Practices at Weber Shandwick and CEO and Chairman of BSMG Worldwide Germany. He also established and sold his own corporate communications firm, which grew to become the fourth-largest independent communications agency in Germany. Janos studied Law at Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich and at the Sorbonne in Paris.

About Fiona Claire Littig

Fiona joined Brunswick in 2001 when she helped to establish Brunswick’s first German office in Frankfurt. She later went on to help establish Brunswick’s Munich office in 2011. In her time at Brunswick she has advised clients on a wide range of business-critical situations and has extensive experience advising on M&A, restructuring, crisis and corporate positioning, with a special focus on the life sciences and chemicals sectors. Fiona is also part of Brunswick’s global cyber team and has significant expertise advising international clients on cyber related issues. Prior to joining Brunswick Fiona worked for another large communications agency. She is a Certified Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) and holds a Master’s degree from Gutenberg-University in Mainz, Germany/Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France.
