Luke Palmerlee joins Brunswick Group as a Partner in Asia-Pacific

Brunswick further strengthens global financial situations capabilities.

June 27, 2024 - Brunswick Group, the world’s leading critical issues advisory firm, announces that Luke Palmerlee will join the firm as a Partner, based in Sydney, on July 1, 2024.

Luke has extensive experience in strategy consulting and investment banking, having advised on transactions for corporates and governments throughout Australia, the Asia-Pacific region and the US. He joins Brunswick from PwC Australia, where he was Managing Director – Integrated Infrastructure and advised clients across a range of sectors on issues related to critical infrastructure, supply chains and growth capital. Prior to that, Luke held senior roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Cushman & Wakefield and Kværner/ABB.

At Brunswick, Luke will focus on strengthening the firm’s capabilities in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region, and will advise global clients on financial situations including complex mergers and acquisitions.

About Luke Palmerlee

Throughout his career, Luke has helped clients across geographies and sectors build and execute their core business strategies. He has led teams at market-leading companies, including JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Hong Kong and Australia, PwC in Australia and the Pacific region, and Cushman & Wakefield in New York and Hong Kong.

Most recently, Luke’s advisory work at PwC focused on the infrastructure, supply chains and growth capital required by companies in the transition economy, energy and resources, data and telecommunications, and advanced manufacturing sectors. Previously, Luke led J.P. Morgan’s government business in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands from 2008 to 2018. Also at J.P. Morgan, he held client coverage and transaction execution responsibilities for general industrial, real estate and oil & gas clients in Australia and throughout Asia.

Earlier in his career, Luke was a founding member of Cushman & Wakefield’s consulting practice, providing transaction advice and due diligence services to commercial real estate owners, investors and major tenants in the US and Asia. He was previously the on-site representative for the president of the Kværner/ABB joint venture developing a 2,000 megawatt pumped-storage hydroelectric project in central New Jersey – the largest of its kind in the United States at the time. Luke maintains strong policy, diplomatic and political ties in the US, Australia and Asia-Pacific, having begun his career as a legislative staff member at both the US Senate and the US House of Representatives.

Luke earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University.
