Brunswick Group, a global advisory firm specializing in critical issues and corporate relations, is pleased to announce that Pru Bennett will join Brunswick as a Senior Advisor
Pru has more than 25 years’ experience working in corporate governance. Until January 2019, Pru was a Managing Director at BlackRock and Head of BlackRock's Investment Stewardship team for the Asia-Pacific Region, based in Hong Kong. She led a team responsible for engagement and proxy voting activities.
Pru will work closely with Jane McAloon, Senior Advisor at Brunswick, and formerly President, Governance and Group Company Secretary at BHP, to help advise clients on issues of corporate governance.

Until January 2019, Pru was Managing Director at BlackRock and Head of BlackRock's Investment Stewardship team for the APAC Region based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2010, Pru was head of Corporate Governance at institutional advisor, Regnan Governance and Research. From 1998 to 2009 Pru was a director of Australian proxy advisor Corporate Governance International, now known as CGI Glass Lewis. Prior to working in the area of corporate governance, Pru was Investor Relations Manager for Qantas Airways Limited.
Pru is a member of a number of industry and regulatory bodies including the Public Shareholder Group of Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Corporate Governance Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the Australian and Hong Kong chapters of the 30% Club to increase the number of women on boards and in senior management.
Pru has a BCom from the University of New South Wales and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
