Brunswick Group, a leading international corporate communications partnership, announced today that Marcos Caetano has joined as a Partner in its São Paulo office, effective today.
Mr. Caetano’s extensive communications, marketing and media experience will be a strong asset as Brunswick continues to expand its presence in Brazil. Opened in 2012, Brunswick’s São Paulo office works alongside a number of leading Brazilian and international companies on their strategic communications and reputation issues in the country.
Mr. Caetano joins Brunswick from São Paulo-based BRF, one of the world’s largest food companies, where he was Global Director - Culture, Corporate Communications and Corporate Marketing.
“Marcos will be a great addition to Brunswick as we continue to grow our offer in São Paulo,” said Group Chief Executive Officer Susan Gilchrist. “His broad-based experience and deep knowledge of the Brazilian market will be an asset to our Brazilian and international clients operating there. Marcos Caetano joins Brunswick as a partner from BRF, where he was Global Director - Culture, Corporate Communications and Corporate Marketing since 2013. Prior to that, he was Head of Corporate Communications at investment bank Itaú BBA (2010 -2013), Director of Marketing at Itaú Unibanco (2009-2010), Director of People, Comunications and Sustainability at Unibanco (2004 -2009), Vice-President, Marketing for Latin America of internet site Terra (2001 – 2004) and was a partner in the Lokau.com internet portal (1999 – 2001). He has also worked at Banco Supervielle in Buenos Aires, Grupo Icatu, Banco Nacional, Souza Cruz and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
He graduated in Business Administration and Finance from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, with post-graduate degrees in Marketing from ESPM, in Sustainability from Fundação Dom Cabral and an MBA in Finance from IBMEC. Prior to that he studied at the University of California – Berkeley. He has also worked as a columnist for Brazilian publications including, O Estado de Sao. Paulo, Jornal do Brasil Piauí, Placar, Bravo and Trip and has covered five football World Cups as a sports commentator for ESPN, RedeTV and Sportv.
