Jason Farkas joins Brunswick Group as a Partner in New York

Brunswick appoints seasoned media professional.

Brunswick Group, the world’s leading critical issues advisory firm, announces that Jason Farkas will join as a Partner in the New York office on January 3, 2022.  

Jason is an award-winning media professional. He spent the last seven years at CNN, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of CNN Business, where he was responsible for the global commercial and editorial operations of the network’s business news platform. He previously held senior roles with CNN Digital Video, CNN’s Reliable Sources, and CNNVR, deploying new technologies and business models across the network. Earlier in his career, Jason held roles at Bloomberg TV and CNBC.

Jason is an award-winning media professional with deep experience in deploying emerging technologies, building innovative business models and leading global teams. He has spent the last seven years with CNN, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of CNN Business, where he was responsible for the global commercial and editorial operations of the network’s business news platform. Prior to that, he spearheaded the brand transformation from CNNMoney to CNN Business and launched CNNVR, the network’s immersive journalism operation. He also served as Executive Producer of Reliable Sources, CNN’s Sunday morning show that examines the intersection of media and politics. Prior to joining CNN, Jason ran afternoon programming on Bloomberg TV and launched several primetime shows at CNBC. He began his career as an NBC Page with Saturday Night Live.

Jason received a B.A. in Economics and Film from Middlebury College and has won multiple journalism awards including the Edward R. Murrow Award and the Walter Cronkite Award.
