Brunswick Group announces that Craig Mullaney has been appointed Partner

Brunswick Group, a global advisory firm specializing in critical issues and corporate relations, today announced that Craig Mullaney has joined the firm as a Partner in its Washington, D.C. office.

Craig is one of the world’s leading experts on executives’ use of digital and social media to communicate and lead organizations. He joins Brunswick from Facebook where he led strategic partnerships and founded Facebook’s Global Executive Program. At Facebook, he advised Fortune 500 CEOs and other senior executives on critical communications issues, and how to use Facebook and Instagram as leadership and communications channels.

At Brunswick, he will advise CEOs, boards, and other leaders on their digital strategies and how to best utilize emerging communications platforms and channels to connect with their stakeholders.

Prior to Facebook, Craig was Senior Vice President, Content, Operations and Strategy for Ustream, Inc a live video streaming platform where, among other things, he was responsible for corporate strategy, content, business development and People.

Before that, he was a Special Advisor, Operations and Strategy at the U.S. Department of State, where he helped to launch the Office of Innovation and Development Alliances for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

About Craig Mullaney:

Craig M. Mullaney is an experienced media technology executive, New York Times bestselling author, and decorated Army combat veteran. He joins Brunswick from Facebook where he led strategic partnerships and founded Facebook’s Global Executive Program. Craig has provided strategic counsel on critical communications issues to leaders ranging from former heads of state and Fortune 500 CEOs to presidents of major charitable foundations, spiritual leaders, scientific luminaries, and entrepreneurs. 

During the Obama Administration, Craig served as a senior advisor at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and at the Pentagon. 

Mullaney graduated second in his class from the United States Military Academy. After completing Army Ranger School, he attended the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar and earned master’s degrees in diplomatic and economic history.

Mullaney is the author of the 2009 New York Times bestseller The Unforgiving Minute: A Soldier’s Education.  He has appeared on The Charlie Rose Show, The CBS Early Show, BBC World News America, National Public Radio, The Colbert Report, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
