Most recently, Rebecca was Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships at the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office (ADGMO). There, she was responsible for engaging a range of stakeholders on critical issues and priorities for the Abu Dhabi ecosystem through strategic, creative and digital communications. This included spearheading the national vaccination campaign, launching Abu Dhabi’s first multi-stakeholder, global foreign direct investment campaign and advising on participation at global events including Davos and COP26. She also advised on Abu Dhabi’s narrative and positioning, policy communications and crisis communications.
Prior to this, Rebecca was Head of PR for Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi in 2019 and, before that, a Director at communications agency, TRACCS, where she was responsible for generating new business and running client teams in the travel and tourism, arts and culture, retail and technology sectors. Rebecca started her career in the arts sector at a public exhibition and education space in Dubai.
Rebecca received a B.A. in Modern and Medieval Languages from Cambridge University, and a Masters in Christianity and the Arts from King’s College London.
