Dominic has worked on major Abu Dhabi transactions including mergers in the banking, energy and property sectors. He has also advised major UAE corporates on financial communication, restructuring and critical issues.
Dominic joined Brunswick from Invest AD (the Abu Dhabi Investment Company) where he was Head of Communications, working for three years handling media relations, marketing communications, advertising, conferences and internal communications.
He was previously a journalist at Reuters, working for eight years between Hong Kong and Thailand. As the organisation’s Asia property correspondent, he covered the rapid development in China and India as well as institutional investment in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. He also covered a wide range of general, political and economic stories in Asia, including the Myanmar cyclone in 2008, the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004, Sri Lankan peace talks, APEC, and a Vietnamese Communist party congress.
A graduate in European Studies, Dominic began his career as a press officer at the European Commission’s delegation for Southeast Asia, communicating the European Union’s development assistance and trade policies, and working with visiting Commissioners, including Leon Brittan, Chris Patten and Pascal Lamy. He is a published author, having written two books on real estate investment, including, ‘Playing the REITs Game: Asia's New Real Estate Investment Trusts,’ published in 2007.
