Xiaolu Zhao


Xiaolu has extensive corporate communications experience built on a career that has spanned advisory and multiple in-house roles. Her areas of expertise include corporate reputation, crisis and issue management, and media relations.

Xiaolu started her career at the China Daily where she worked as a journalist and editor for nearly five years before joining Brunswick for the first time in 2007. During her initial period with the firm she worked on a range of high profile projects including supporting Fonterra on the Sanlu scandal, Geely’s acquisition of Volvo, and a multi-year reputation building program with Suez Environnement.

After leaving Brunswick in late 2009 she joined Hang Seng Bank in Shanghai where she was responsible for corporate communications for the bank. She left as Acting Head of Corporate Communications & CSR to join Samsung Electronics where she worked in the corporate communications team providing corporate CSR promotion and product PR.

Xiaolu received an M.A. degree from Annenberg School of Communications, USC.
