Kicking off the first of our global series of corporate purpose events, the London office hosted the Great Purpose Debate on Thursday 17th of October. We began the debate with an overview of fresh research results from Jeremy Ruch, Director of Insight at Brunswick, which examined global markets and their different perceptions of corporate purpose. Our own Meaghan Ramsey introduced the issues surrounding corporate purpose statements and considered whether these are truly meaningful or just corporate FOMO. Our panel utilized the extensive experience of Justine Harris (former Global Head of Sustainable Business at Vodafone) and Brunswick’s Dan Roberts (Pulitzer-prize contributing journalist). Together, they debated the validity of purpose statements and how businesses must approach the issue of their role in society.
Brunswick offices globally will be hosting events and producing content based on our comprehensive research into corporate purpose. Watch this space to stay updated.
