Brunswick Group appoints Dr. Joachim Peter as Head of the Berlin Office

Brunswick further strengthens management capabilities in Germany with appointment of Dr. Joachim Peter; Ulrich Deupmann to focus full-time on role as Head of European Public Affairs.

Brunswick Group, the world’s leading critical issues firm, today announced that Dr. Joachim Peter has been appointed Head of the Berlin Office. After seven years as Head of the Berlin Office, Ulrich Deupmann will now focus full-time on his role as Head of European Public Affairs.

In his role as Head of European Public Affairs, Ulrich is responsible for Brunswick’s pan-European public affairs capabilities, working closely with colleagues across the region to help clients navigate complex regulatory and policy issues in Europe and further afield.

About Dr. Joachim Peter  

At Brunswick, Joachim focuses on public affairs, corporate positioning and crisis management, working across a range of sectors including Energy & Resources, Financial Institutions and Technology, Media and Telecommunications.

Prior to joining Brunswick in 2013, Joachim was a correspondent for the German daily DIE WELT and a member of the leadership team at news agency dapd. He was also Head of the Unit for Strategic Communications at the German Ministry of Defense, reporting directly to the Federal Minister. 

Joachim holds a doctorate in history from the University of Würzburg/Bavaria.
