Before joining Brunswick in 2013, he worked as a correspondent for the German daily DIE WELT and as a member of the leadership staff at the news agency dapd. He was also head of the unit for strategic communication at the German Ministry of Defense. In this position he reported directly to the Federal Minister. Joachim is involved in mandates across the digital, energy, finance, technology and defense sectors. Joachim studied at the University of Würzburg/Bavaria and holds a doctorate in history.
