Trelawny advises Boards on corporate governance and shareholder-related issues. Prior to Brunswick, Trelawny was Head of Corporate Finance at Fidelity International where he led Corporate Governance globally for the organization. Trelawny spent over sixteen years working at Fidelity International, joining in 2002. He also serves as a Panel member on the UK Takeover Panel.

Trelawny started his career as an M&A analyst at Brown Brothers in New York City. He moved to London in 1982 as a corporate finance specialist and worked with Morgan Grenfell and subsequently with Prudential Bache where he became a Director.  After serving as Corporate Development Advisor for George Wimpey Plc he joined M&G Group in 1996 to lead their corporate governance and stewardship activities.

Trelawny received a Bachelors’ Degree from the University North Carolina as a Morehead scholar and is a Master of Business Administration, reading at the European Institute of Business Administration (Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires), Fontainebleau, France.
