Brunswick expands its senior team of advisors in Asia
(Beijing) 1 February 2018 – Brunswick Group, a global advisory firm specializing in critical issues and corporate relations, announced today that Renfeng Zhao will join the Partnership. Based in Beijing, Renfeng will work closely with the firm’s 11 Partners and over 100 advisors in Greater China, as well as its global team across 24 offices in 14 countries, to advise Chinese and international clients on complex critical issues impacting business success.
Renfeng brings with him over 20 years of experience in journalism, communications and public affairs from a career that has spanned Asia and Europe. Renfeng joined China Daily in 1997 as a financial journalist and was part of the team that launched China Business Weekly, China’s first English-language business newspaper. He joined Kreab in 2007 and became Partner in London and was appointed Managing Partner for China in 2015 based in Beijing, advising clients on cross-border transactions and crises.

Renfeng has over 20 years of experience in journalism and communications, including 10 years in Denmark, Holland and the UK. He specializes in cross-border communications for both Chinese and international clients.
Renfeng was previously a senior journalist with China Daily. He is a regular speaker at events and forums. Renfeng is a respected advisor, a Visiting Professor at the School of International Affairs of Renmin University, China and was a Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. He was awarded the EU Erasmus Mundus scholarship for a double Master’s degree at Aarhus University, Amsterdam University and CITY, University of London. He received his BA degree from Nankai University in China.
