Prior to joining Brunswick, Matt spent the last 5 years at BCW where he led digital and social media for the Chicago market, drove growth and culture as the deputy market leader, and served on the North America digital leadership team. Prior to BCW, Matt worked in equal parts corporate and consumer capacities for agencies in digital communications at Burson-Marsteller (pre-merger), Golin, Ogilvy and Weber Shandwick. He started his career at State Farm where he was part of a small team that launched the organization’s social media presence.
He has created award-winning consumer and corporate marketing campaigns for bp, McDonald’s, Pinnacle Vodka, Discover Financial and others. Away from work, Matt’s mission is to learn as much as possible through direct experience and has developed skills in improvisation and sketch writing (Second City Chicago), adventure motorcycling, music performance, shoemaking, jiu jitsu and other ventures.
A proud first-generation college graduate, Matt holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism with a creative writing minor from Eastern Illinois University and a Master's degree in public relations with a business concentration from Ball State University's journalism department (both with distinction).
