He is also a media specialist steeped in television, digital and print platforms with experience as a cable news executive and a newspaper reporter and editor. At Brunswick, Errol also advises clients on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Prior to Brunswick, he was Senior Vice President for Communications at MSNBC, where he was responsible for setting the network’s communications strategy, including public-facing talent management developments under the NBCUniversal News Group umbrella. Errol also helped lead the crisis and reputation risk management practice for Edelman, a global public relations consultancy. He also has deep experience in food and beverage, personal care/beauty, higher-ed, the arts, sports, labor and supply chain.
Errol has also served in various government roles, including as Press Secretary to former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer and his successor, David Paterson. He was Chief of Staff and Communications Director to the Democratic leader of the New York State Senate and led communications for New York’s chief economic development agency. Errol’s newspaper career spanned the Los Angeles Times, Harford Courant and Newsday, where he was Statehouse Bureau Chief.
Errol graduated from Stony Brook University where he now sits on the School of Journalism’s Advisory Board. He also serves on the boards of several non-profits.
