Brunswick expands senior team in Germany

Two Partners relocate to Germany amid growing client demand.

July 13, 2023 – Brunswick Group, the world’s leading critical issues advisory firm, today announced that two existing Partners, Antoine Soussaline and Anthony (Tony) Applewhaite, have joined the firm’s team in Germany. Antoine has relocated from the Hong Kong office to the Munich office and Tony has relocated from the Washington, D.C. office to the Frankfurt office.

Brunswick has more than 100 employees across its Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich offices. The team has enjoyed strong growth as the demand among German and international clients for strategic advice on complex issues has continued to rise. In addition to deep expertise in domestic and cross-border M&A and its associated regulatory and political considerations, the firm’s team in Germany has established itself as a leader in Public Affairs, restructurings and transformation projects, crisis management and cybersecurity preparation and response.

Neal Wolin, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Germany is a very important market for our clients and our firm, and one in which we continue to invest. Antoine and Tony deliver exceptional value to clients and join a very strong team in Germany advising domestic and international companies on a wide range of pressing issues. They will help forge even greater connectivity with colleagues around the world and meaningfully contribute to the firm’s further growth in Germany and beyond.”

Christian Weyand, Managing Partner, Germany, said: “We are delighted to add two experienced and highly expert Partners to our growing team in Germany. Antoine and Tony will add great insight and experience to our growing sector teams and help drive our litigation efforts and multi-stakeholder campaign work. In all these areas, we see strong and growing demand from clients.”
