We have supported the rapid development of this recent festival in the North of England.
Brunswick Arts was invited to work on the second edition on the Bradford Literature Festival in 2016. We created a communications strategy designed to promote various aspects of the festival to national audiences, including its celebration of the city’s literary culture and social history, its highly diverse programming, its bold approach to multi-faith work and its annual celebration of the Brontës. The resulting coverage in 2016, 2017 and 2018 has helped position the Festival as an event of national importance, enabling it to secure significant further funding from both private and public sources. While much of the national media conversation about Bradford focuses on social division, the Festival seeks to engage with all the local communities and to change the city’s narrative.
