Brunswick expands its management capabilities in San Francisco and Shanghai.
Brunswick Group, the global advisory firm specializing in critical issues and corporate relations, is pleased to announce that Ash Spiegelberg and Rory Macpherson have been appointed Office Heads in San Francisco and Shanghai respectively.

About Ash Spiegelberg
Ash advises on all areas of corporate, financial and M&A communications. Ash worked in the creative industries for various film and TV commercials production companies before joining Brunswick in London in 2004.
He has worked extensively in the US, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. During his time at the firm, he spent five years in London before relocating to the UAE in 2009 and then moving to the U.S. in 2014. He has worked across multiple industries and advised a number of the world’s leading organizations including: Air Liquide, Diageo, Google, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Rolls-Royce, Thomson Reuters, Time Warner, Saudi Aramco and Southwest Airlines. He has also advised on more than 60 high-profile M&A and capital market transactions and projects for governments and private sector companies.
About Rory Macpherson
With close to 15 years working in mainland China, Rory has extensive experience advising Chinese and multinational companies on a wide range of corporate communications matters spanning IPOs and other capital markets transactions, cross border M&A, crisis management, corporate restructuring and litigation.
Since joining Brunswick in 2013, Rory has worked with numerous Chinese companies to enhance reputation and build engagement with international stakeholders. Notable clients have included Ant Financial, Yum China, ZTO and Sogou. He has also advised multiple international companies in the healthcare, consumer, energy and white goods sectors on complex China-related matters including government corporate corruption and anti-monopoly investigations, divestments and large-scale restructuring, strategy deployment and change management.
Prior to joining Brunswick, Rory led the corporate communications and investor relations functions at Suntech Power for more than five years. He also previously worked for a public relations firm in Beijing. Rory received Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Sydney and is fluent in Mandarin.
