Director, Policy & Regulation, London

Zohir is Director of Policy and Regulation at Brunswick’s Global Climate Hub, based in the London office. He focuses on the themes and trends underpinning the complex regulatory environment around ESG and sustainability, and how companies can navigate the potential risks and opportunities. He has spent the last 15 years working in the intersection of policy and business.

Prior to joining Brunswick, Zohir was at MSCI, the leading provider of ESG ratings, investment indexes and climate data to the international financial markets. He was responsible for tracking, analysing and communicating key developments such as the UK SDR rules, EU regulations such as the CSRD, US federal and state level regulations and global frameworks like the ISSB, BIS and TNFD. Before MSCI, he was at Lloyd’s of London, the world’s largest insurance market, where he helped develop and implement the firm’s first ever ESG strategy. Zohir started off his career as a trainee public policy analyst in the City of London’s financial sector.

Zohir has direct experience in engaging and meeting with international bodies like the G20 and OECD, as well as bilateral engagement with senior government and regulatory delegations from more than 50 countries.

Zohir is a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London where he studied Development Economics. He holds a professional qualification in green and sustainable finance from the CISI and the Chartered Banker Institute.
