Prior to Brunswick, she built and led the healthcare team at Edelman Hong Kong, where she advised both international and Greater China clients on corporate reputation, issues management and product communications, and successfully integrated the firm’s digital and insights offerings with health communications. In addition to multinational healthcare clients, Yi has also advised Chinese companies going global.
Yi built her career at AstraZeneca, a leading global biopharmaceutical firm. She led communications for the launch of some of the industry’s best-known brands in China and also held a global role while based in London where she managed the development and rollout of a new global corporate brand, managed communications with policymakers ahead of product launches, and managed employee communications globally through a business restructuring.
Yi started her career as a business reporter at Shanghai Television. She holds an M.A. in Communications from New York University and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Fudan University in China. She is fluent in English and Mandarin and speaks French and Cantonese.
