Tom Burns
Chief Operating Officer
Tom Burns is Chief Operating Officer of Brunswick Group.
Tom is based in London and works alongside Brunswick’s CEO Henry Timms in setting and delivering the firm’s strategic priorities.
Tom joined Brunswick in 2004 and has been a Partner since 2009. Alongside his work advising clients, he has served in a number of global leadership roles and was UK Managing Partner from 2021 to 2024. He was previously Head of the firm’s global Financial Institutions Group and has advised a range of international companies on high-profile and complex situations, including transactions, crises and litigation.
Before Brunswick, Tom worked in a number of policy and communications roles in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Tom has been a Trustee of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences (UK Fund) and was educated at Cambridge University.
