Stina Skewes-Cox Trainor is a director in Brunswick’s San Francisco office where she advises clients on a range of critical issues with an emphasis on public affairs, multi-stakeholder engagement, and integrated corporate campaigns.

Before joining Brunswick, she was Head of Global Policy Engagements at Meta where she led the company’s strategy and execution for engagements with governments, policy elites, and international institutions, including the UN and the World Economic Forum. In this role, she represented the company in hundreds of official meetings with government representatives, including heads of state, regulators, legislators, and diplomats.

Stina has worked at the highest levels of federal government across the U.S. Congress, State Department, and the Obama administration, including leadership roles with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power. On a local level, she served as Assistant Commissioner for External Affairs at the New York City Department of Finance, an agency responsible for collecting revenue upwards of $47 billion and valuing properties totaling over $1.4 trillion.

In addition to her government experience, she has worked for the world's largest non-profit, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, as a Deputy Director in Global Policy and Advocacy. She holds a bachelor’s from the University of California - Irvine and a master’s in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University.
