Mika Watanabe

Mika brings over 30 years of broad-based experience in strategic communications, underpinned by deep insight into financial transactions, including M&A, as well as crisis and reputation management. Her track record spans high-stakes corporate events ranging from start-up launches, bankruptcies, and joint ventures to regulatory actions, complemented by extensive experience in media relations and reputation risk advisory.

Prior to joining Brunswick, she served as Managing Director, Head of Corporate Communications, and a member of the Japan Management Committee at Morgan Stanley, where she led and executed strategic communications for its Japan franchise. Earlier, Mika held senior communications leadership roles at JPMorgan and Enron in Japan. She also draws on financial and investor-focused expertise from her earlier career as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers, as well as journalistic experience as Tokyo correspondent for Dow Jones.
