Michael Cummings

Mike is a Director at Brunswick Group and a member of the firm’s Public Affairs, Regulation & Geopolitical and Healthcare & Life Sciences practices.
He advises clients on high-stakes crisis, reputation, and public affairs challenges, with a focus on navigating complex policy, regulatory, and stakeholder environments. Mike works closely with senior executives and communications leaders on issues management, crisis response, and broader reputation-defining situations. His work often sits at the intersection of public affairs, strategic communications, and political risk.
Mike joined Brunswick in 2024 following a career in Democratic politics spanning federal, state, local, and campaign roles. He served as Communications Director to Congresswoman Linda Sánchez and as Deputy Communications Director on Joe Kennedy III’s U.S. Senate campaign.
Earlier in his career, he held communications roles in the Massachusetts State Senate and in Boston City Hall, and worked on campaigns across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Nevada, and California. Mike also serves as Chief of Staff to Brunswick’s CEO of the Americas, working closely with regional leadership to help develop and implement the firm’s strategic priorities across the region.
