Mei Ashelford
Director
Mei is a Director in the Investor Brand practice where she leads the firm’s Investor Communications and Reporting offer.
She advises senior leadership at FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and other European companies on corporate reporting, including strategic, governance and ESG disclosures. Her focus is on helping clients navigate evolving regulations while communicating clear, compelling investor narratives. Her work includes advising organisations such as Halma, Rathbones, Aviva, Verisure and UniCredit.
Before joining Brunswick, Mei was a Project Director at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), where she led initiatives that continue to influence the UK’s corporate reporting landscape. She began her career in forensic accounting and later served as national subject head for corporate reporting at a professional training firm, where she also trained future chartered accountants.
A Chartered Accountant with 25 years of experience, Mei is a Fellow of the ICAEW and serves on its Corporate Reporting Faculty Board. She is also a member of the FRC’s Advisory Panel, contributing subject matter expertise to the UK’s corporate reporting and regulatory agenda.
