Lutho has a decade of experience spanning journalism, in-house corporate communications and consultancy.
She has delivered high-stakes financial communications and supported major capital markets activity including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, while leading reputation management, issues management, media relations and stakeholder engagement initiatives for companies across the mining, banking and telecommunications sectors.
Prior to joining Brunswick, Lutho worked with Sibanye Stillwater, JSE Limited and Spur Corporation, where she designed and executed strategic communication programmes for both internal and external audiences, and managed media relations and campaigns across complex stakeholder environments. Her early career as a financial journalist at the Sunday Times and Bloomberg News deepened her understanding of media dynamics, market context and stakeholder engagement, capabilities that continue to inform her advisory approach.
Lutho holds a Master’s degree in African Literature and a BA Honours in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as a BA in English Language and Literature, Media and Writing, and Sociology from the University of Cape Town.
