Khozem Merchant

Khozem has more than three decades’ experience in media and business in India and the UK. He specializes in Indian macro and public affairs and leads Brunswick’s India practice, which he launched in 2013.

In an earlier role, as President, Pearson India, he was part of a team that rolled out Pearson’s education services strategy in India as the country began to reform the business of learning. Khozem’s core professional career has been in journalism with Financial Times, where he held several editorial roles over two decades, including FT Correspondent in Mumbai.

Khozem sits on the India board of Room to Read, a US based education services not for profit with extensive operations across India; he is also a non-executive director on the board of JP Morgan Indian Investment Trust, a London listed vehicle for India-focused investment.
