Katherine advises clients on complex corporate and reputational challenges related to energy, technology, and other fields of business.
Previously at The Wall Street Journal, Katherine spent more than seven years as a reporter covering some of the nation’s largest energy and tech companies. She spent much of her career writing about the U.S. power and utilities sector, helping lead coverage of PG&E that earned a Gerald Loeb award and was named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
In recent years, Katherine wrote about Meta, Google, and the challenges of building the infrastructure powering the artificial-intelligence race. She shared a Loeb award for reporting on tech-related child-safety issues.
Katherine is the author of California Burning: The Fall of Pacific Gas and Electric and What it Means for America’s Power Grid. The book, a national bestseller, earned a Golden Poppy award for nonfiction.
She holds a BA in Journalism and History from Elon University.
