Karina is a Partner in Brunswick's Global Antitrust and Competition practice.
She advises clients on how navigate regulatory scrutiny, complex transactions, and critical public affairs challenges. Her background in antitrust policy, regulatory strategy, and public affairs allows her to direct clients on how to respond to the rapidly evolving competition landscape, including platform regulation and technology governance issues.
Previously, Karina served as Chief of Competition Policy and Advocacy at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, where she played a key role in shaping legislative and regulatory initiatives and led cross-sector advocacy efforts to promote competitive markets. Prior to joining DOJ, she was a Senior Correspondent at The Capitol Forum, where she covered developments in competition and regulatory policy. She also practiced antitrust law at Shearman & Sterling in New York and Washington, where she advised clients on complex merger reviews and enforcement matters across industries.
