Geraldine was appointed to the Board of HSBC Holdings in May 2022 as an Independent Non-Executive Director and currently serves on Group Audit, Nomination & Corporate Governance Committees. Geraldine is also a Non-Executive Director of HRL Morrison & Co, where she is a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Geraldine is a Senior Advisor to ClimateWorks Australia, a non-profit organization that develops independent, evidence-based solutions to assist the transition to net zero emissions across Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Her most recent executive role was as Chair and Head of Asia Pacific at BlackRock, where she was responsible for all business activities across Hong Kong and mainland China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, India and Korea.

After stepping down, she acted as Senior Advisor to Larry Fink, BlackRock Chairman and CEO, and has previously served as Global Head of Corporate Strategy. Before joining BlackRock, Geraldine was a Partner with McKinsey & Company’s financial services practice based in New York.

Geraldine earned her Master of Philosophy in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar and a Bachelor’s in medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Monash University.
