Douglas is a veteran public affairs and communications executive with 20 years experience including roles in the federal government, non-profit sector, and in the U.S. Congress.

Douglas joined Brunswick’s Washington, D.C. office in 2025 from the Federal Trade Commission where he was Director of the Office of Public Affairs, lead spokesman, and a senior advisor to the Chair of the FTC. His prior experience also includes the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he was Vice President of Communications & Strategy and oversaw a multinational communications department spanning the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Previously, Douglas was a communications executive at the Aspen Institute and a communications and legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives, including for a senior member of the House Committee on Appropriations.

Douglas is co-author of the history book, “A Song to My City: Washington DC” and holds a bachelor and masters degree from Georgetown University.
