Deborah Majoras
Over her career, Deborah has advised global organizations and government agencies on effective navigation of complex operating environments.
She spent nearly 15 years as a leader at The Procter & Gamble Company, primarily serving as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, and then as President and Special Advisor to the CEO. During her tenure, she worked as a member of the Global Leadership Council to tackle complex litigation, enable significant transactions, ensure smooth CEO successions, respond to activist shareholders (including in a proxy contest), develop strong relationships with governments, and build leadership in sustainability and brand protection. Prior to P&G, Deborah served in the U.S. Government, first as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice Antitrust Division (2001-2003) and then as Chair of the Federal Trade Commission (2004 – 2008).
Areas of focus within her antitrust and consumer protection enforcement work included data security, online advertising and fraud, software, financial networks, health care, and media and entertainment. Earlier in her career, she was an associate and then partner at international law firm, Jones Day.
Today, Deborah also serves on the Boards of Directors of American Express Company and Valero Energy Corporation. Current non-profit board service includes The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), The First Tee Foundation, the University of Virginia School of Law Foundation, and Westminster College. From 2019-2025, Majoras was a member of the Executive Committee of the United States Golf Association, for which she chaired the Equipment Standards, Governance, and Nominating Committees. Other previous Board service includes The Christ Hospital Health Network and the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati.
