Dave is a member of the firm’s Public Affairs & Regulation and Crisis & Litigation practice groups, advising companies and senior leaders on issues where policy, reputation and stakeholder scrutiny converge.
With nearly 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors, he helps clients navigate high-stakes situations involving adverse regulatory action, antitrust enforcement, complex litigation, cross-border M&A and federal and congressional investigations. He designs and leads public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies that support policy objectives, regulatory outcomes and broader reputational goals. Dave has advised clients in sectors experiencing rapid transformation, including technology and aerospace and defense, and on campaigns related to Department of Defense procurements and the passage of the CHIPS Act. He also prepares senior executives for congressional testimony and other high-profile public engagements.
Before Brunswick, Dave served as senior counselor to U.S. Senator Patty Murray, where he advised on technology, telecommunications and judiciary matters, and as her counsel on the Budget and Veterans’ Affairs Committees during her chairmanships. He previously practiced law in Seattle and has taught political risk assessment at The George Washington University.
