Annie specializes in corporate positioning, regulatory strategy, and stakeholder engagement, helping companies navigate high-stakes transactions, government scrutiny, and reputational risk.

With deep experience advising on antitrust, merger reviews, and compliance-driven communications, she is a trusted advisor to leadership teams confronting complex political, legal, and public challenges.

She has played a central role in advising some of the world’s most closely watched transactions in China. Beyond legal process management, Annie helps companies shape engagement strategies, anticipate regulatory concerns, and align messaging across regulators, media, and key opinion leaders in China and globally.

Her expertise extends to broader critical issues — including regulatory investigations, compliance crises, and politically sensitive disputes — where she provides counsel on strategic narrative development, stakeholder mapping, and calibrated government engagement. Known for her ability to manage issues under pressure, Annie helps clients maintain message discipline, build coalitions of support, and reinforce credibility with regulators and the public.

Annie also has extensive experience shaping how corporate narratives are communicated through complex media environments. She works across platforms to ensure that messages are understood, contextualized, and aligned with business, legal, and policy objectives.

Her deep understanding of China’s regulatory and political landscape enables her to anticipate challenges and craft strategies that mitigate risk while building long-term trust with government stakeholders and the broader ecosystem in which companies operate.

Prior to joining Brunswick in 2015, Annie worked at Edelman in Beijing, where she advised foreign firms in the financial services and asset management industries on their corporate affairs strategy across a range of business issues.

Annie has a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Sichuan University and a Master’s in Global Journalism from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
