She assists clients on the public affairs and communication aspects of competition and regulatory policy issues, including mergers & acquisitions, antitrust investigations and State aid cases.
Prior to joining Brunswick Micaela was advising clients mostly on the public affairs aspects of EU competition cases in another consultancy. She worked as a lawyer in the competition department of the Spanish law firm Uría Menéndez in both Madrid and Brussels, participating in EU merger control proceedings and antitrust investigations, while also counseling European companies on their compliance programmes. In 2018 she was awarded a Chevening Scholarship by the UK Government and studied for an LL.M. in Competition Law at Queen Mary University, London, while working as a research assistant for the same institution on national security and public interest matters. She previously worked in Argentina as a lawyer specialised in Corporate and Competition law at the law firm Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal.
