He founded Commons Asset Management, a mutual fund dedicated to delivering long-term investment opportunities to the Japanese household, in 2008 and serves as Chairman.

Ken currently serves as an Independent Director of Anicom Holdings, as an Advisor to the Office of the President at The University of Tokyo, as a Visiting Professor at Seikei University, as a Director of Keizai Doyukai (the Japan Association of Corporate Executives) and as a Steering Committee Member of UNDP SDG Impact. Ken is also a member Prime Minister Kishida’s special committee, the “New Capitalism” panel. He was previously the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Japan Center for International Exchange. Earlier in his career, Ken spent five years at Moore Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund, where he founded and managed the Tokyo office. He has also held roles at J.P.
