James is a core member of Brunswick’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG), advising clients across a range of issues, including profile raising, corporate reputation, crisis management, financial situations, litigation, and more. He also serves as Chief of Staff to Brunswick’s CEO of the Americas, Nik Deogun.

James is a former financial journalist and applies his media experience to advise clients beyond the financial sector during reputation defining moments.

He began his career at the Telegraph in London, writing for the Money and Business sections, before moving to New York as an editor for With Intelligence, where he ultimately built and ran a global team covering the investment activities of wealth managers.

James joined Brunswick in 2021, and his client work has included Brookfield Asset Management, Barclays, Brown Brothers Harriman, Hyundai, National Grid, and more.
