James has particular experience in M&A and IPO communications as well as transaction experience on major deals across sectors. As well as financial and corporate communications, he sits across Brunswick’s public affairs and geopolitical work with clients including BT, Burberry, Estée Lauder, Jo Malone, Pinterest, Sainsburys and Standard Chartered amongst others.
Previously James worked on the Stronger Together (2014) campaign, the Remain (2016) campaign and was a 2019 General Election candidate. He advised Boris Johnson MP’s leadership team and both of Penny Mordaunt MP’s leadership bids. He is the Brunswick appointed trustee on the Taylor Bennett Foundation, a charity committed to increasing BAME diversity in the industry.
James joined Brunswick in 2018 and prior to that worked at a global communications agency. He is a former barrister and previously studied English Literature at the University of Birmingham.
