Eleanor French

As a British national, Eleanor brings a strong international perspective to cross-border mandates and multi-stakeholder campaigns. During her six years at Brunswick, she has worked in New York, Hong Kong, and is now a director based in San Francisco. She advises clients on a broad range of critical communications and reputational issues, with a focus on financial and corporate reputation issues for both pre- and post-IPO companies.

Eleanor has worked with a variety of clients on financial transactions and reputation and profile-raising mandates. Her client work includes Bayer’s $66bn acquisition of Monsanto, Heinz’s $55bn merger with Kraft Foods Group, Alibaba’s IPO, the post-merger integration of Merck’s $17bn acquisition of Sigma-Aldrich, and Sysco’s integration planning for its attempted $8.2bn acquisition of US Foods.

During her time in Brunswick’s Hong Kong office, Eleanor supported on the privatization of Belle International by a Hillhouse-led consortium, STX Entertainment’s proposed HK IPO, the acquisition of Hong Kong shipping company OOIL by China’s COSCO Shipping Holdings, and investor engagement support for Yum! China.
