Darrell spent the majority of his career working his way from intern to Co-Worldwide Head of Communications at Sotheby's auction house. There he shared stories behind many great works of art and pieces of history – from Edvard Munch's The Scream to Georgia O'Keeffe's personal recipe for chicken enchiladas – and worked with a wide range of influential estates, museums, cultural institutions, corporate collections, and non-profit organizations to both position their works for sale and protect their reputations.
Directly before joining Brunswick, Darrell dove into the world of NFTs as Head of Communications for MakersPlace. The marketplace helped launch digital art onto the world stage in March 2021, when it sourced and sold Beeple's Everydays: The First 5000 Days in partnership with Christie's for $69 million.
