Projects Barney works on often involve the use of cutting-edge AI tools, as well as partnering with innovative analytics vendors. Insights his team generates are used to guide campaign planning, thought leadership development, reputation tracking, stakeholder engagement, issue/crisis response, and more.
Barney joined Brunswick in 2013, as a founding member of the firm’s Digital practice. He began his career as a journalist, working for a decade in New York and London in senior editorial roles at Economist.com, the website of The Economist. He also has two years’ experience working as a digital communications expert for AstraZeneca’s global corporate affairs team.
Barney holds professional qualifications in journalism and reputation management and is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and Columbia University in New York.
