Sharon is a seasoned legislative strategist with over four decades of experience navigating the complexities of the U.S. Senate.
From 2010 to early 2025, she served as Chief of Staff to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, playing a pivotal role in shaping legislative priorities and guiding policy negotiations. Prior to this, Sharon held senior advisory positions under Senate Majority Leaders Bill Frist and Trent Lott and was Chief of Staff to Senator Dan Coats.
Renowned for her deep institutional knowledge and strategic insight, Sharon has been instrumental in coalition-building and legislative procedure. Her peers and leaders have often referred to her as the “101st Senator,” a testament to her influence and expertise.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.
