Max McGahan


Max is a Partner in Brunswick’s Chicago office. He has extensive experience of advising clients on financial communications and corporate reputation, including a number of major M&A transactions and crisis projects.

Max’s transactional experience includes work on Pfizer’s bid for AstraZeneca, AbbVie’s bid for Shire, the Barclay family’s investment in the Maybourne Hotel Group, the sale of Liverpool Football Club to New England Sports Ventures and the refinancing of holiday provider Center Parcs. His crisis experience includes work with BP on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and Tesco on the contamination of meat products with horsemeat, as well as supporting clients including Inditex and Dairy Crest on supply chain issues. Max has also advised clients including IHG, Reckitt Benckiser and Diageo on corporate reputation strategy.

Max relocated to Chicago from London, where he most recently served for two and a half years as Chief of Staff to Sir Alan Parker, Brunswick’s founder and chairman, supporting him across a wide range of client and business development activity.

Max was awarded a First Class Honours degree in Modern History from Lincoln College at the University of Oxford.
