Max McGahan

Max is a Partner in Brunswick’s London office. He has extensive experience of advising clients in a range of sectors on financial communications and corporate reputation, including a number of major transactions and crisis projects.

Max advises a number of global investment firms and asset managers, as well a range of public and private companies, in areas including media relations and corporate positioning, financial situations, issues management and crisis communications. His recent transactional experience includes the demerger and listing of Haleon, the Issa brothers’ acquisition of Asda, the take-private of The AA by TowerBrook and Warburg Pincus, and VF Corporation’s separation and listing of its Jeanswear business. His crisis experience includes work with BP on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and Tesco on the contamination of products with horsemeat, as well as advising a number of clients on their response to the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

From 2017 to 2019, Max worked in Brunswick’s Chicago office, which he helped to open. He also served for two and a half years as Chief of Staff to Sir Alan Parker, Brunswick’s Founder and Chairman.

Max was awarded a First Class Honours degree in Modern History from Lincoln College, Oxford.
