Eleanor French

Eleanor is a Director in the Hong Kong office. She advises clients on a broad range of critical communications issues, with a specialist focus on transactions and post-merger integrations, including complex divestitures, crisis and employee engagement mandates.

Her transaction experience includes Bayer’s $66bn acquisition of Monsanto, Heinz’s $55bn merger with Kraft Foods Group, Alibaba’s IPO, the post-merger integration of Merck’s $17bn acquisition of Sigma-Aldrich, and Sysco’s integration planning for its attempted $8.2bn acquisition of US Foods. In Asia,  Eleanor supported Air Products on its interest in potentially acquiring Yingde Gases, the privatization of Belle International by a Hillhouse-led consortium, and the announced acquisition of Hong Kong shipping company OOIL by China’s COSCO Shipping Holdings.

As a British national, Eleanor brings a strong international perspective to cross-border mandates and multi-stakeholder campaigns having spent seven years in New York prior to her move to Hong Kong in 2016.
