Ed is a leader in Brunswick’s Financial Situations & Capital Markets practice. He has advised listed and private companies on more than 90 transactions spanning M&A, restructuring, equity and debt issuance and IPOs, as well as shareholder activism defence.

He has extensive cross-border experience in a wide range of sectors including markets across Europe, Africa, North America, as well as Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, China, and the Middle East.

Recent transaction highlights include advising: UBS on its acquisition of Credit Suisse; Firmenich on its €40bn merger of equals with DSM; Parker-Hannifin on its acquisition of Meggitt plc; GSK on its shareholder activism defence against Elliott and the rejection of Unilever’s £50bn bid for GSK Consumer Healthcare (Haleon).

Ed joined Brunswick from Edelman’s specialist Capital Markets team, Edelman Smithfield, where he worked on financial situations and helped establish the team’s private capital offering. He has also completed the Certificate in Investor Relations from the Investor Relations Society (UK).
