Takashi Kawamoto

One of the founding members in the Tokyo office, Takashi is a director and experienced corporate affairs strategist with a mixture of management consulting and public policy background. He currently leads the firm’s U.S.-Japan business to advise Japanese companies in the U.S. and U.S. companies into the Japanese market.

He has advised both Japanese and non-Japanese clients including Seven & i Holdings, TEPCO, Otsuka Holdings, Tokio Marine, Nikkei, Yakult, Johnson & Johnson Medical Device, and Swiss RE. 

Prior to Brunswick, he was Program Management Officer for Public Private Partnership at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) in Brussels.

Previously he had been closely engaged in Japanese business, policy and politics across various industries as Strategy Consultant at the World Economic Forum Japan office, award-winning Senior Consultant of Strategy Unit at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC in Tokyo, and at the Consulate General of Japan in Honolulu and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo.

He had served as a policy advisor to the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan and the Government of Japan for rule-making strategy on next-generation automotive and cyber security, as well as currently serving as Senior Researcher at Keio University at SFC.
