Stuart Hudson


Stuart is a senior adviser on regulatory strategy and corporate communications.

Stuart joined Brunswick in 2010 from the UK Government where he had been appointed as a Special Adviser to the Prime Minister during the global financial crisis.  Over the years he has held strategy roles for a range of elected officials and been a consultant on policy and communications in nationwide election and referendum campaigns.

Stuart originally qualified in EU competition policy, training with the main UK anti-trust authority and serving as Head of Government Affairs at the energy regulator Ofgem.  He has experience in merger control, market studies and investigations into suspected anti-competitive behaviour.

Today Stuart leads communications campaigns for corporate clients. He has particular expertise in cross-border M&A, leading teams across multiple jurisdictions and working in sectors including financial services, utilities, industrials and healthcare. He is also a trustee of the palliative and neurological care charity Sue Ryder.
