Sparky Zivin


Sparky is a Partner overseeing Brunswick Insight’s Washington, DC group, which provides critical issues research for market-moving decisions.

Over the course of his career Sparky has helped develop iconic global platforms such as GE’s Ecomagination and Walmart’s sustainability initiatives.

Sparky has served as a data-driven communications consultant to help clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Stanford Medicine, Facebook, Microsoft, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce take complicated ideas and turn them into compelling and engaging stories. Prior to joining Brunswick, Sparky was a Senior Vice President in charge of the Washington, D.C. office of Edelman's strategic research group.

Sparky has a graduate degree in survey design and data analysis from the George Washington University, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Kenyon College. He started his career as a neuroscience research fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health where he wrote on how the brain forms long-term memories. Sparky is a frequent guest lecturer at American University’s school of communication, speaking to graduate and undergraduate students on research techniques used to inform communication campaigns.
