Sofia Mata-Leclerc

Director

Sofia is a director in the San Francisco office. She advises clients on a range of corporate reputation issues, specializing in corporate positioning, profile-raising and crisis communications. She is also a member of the firm’s corporate data team, with experience on privacy and data security matters.

Prior to Brunswick, Sofia was a Director on Visa’s Public Affairs & Issues Management team, where she focused on enhancing and protecting Visa’s reputation as a leader in payment security. She managed communications around proactive initiatives as well as around breaches, privacy issues and product vulnerabilities/attacks. Before Visa, Sofia was a Principal at Kekst and Company where she helped clients on a range of projects including M&A, bankruptcies, litigation and profile-raising campaigns. She graduated from Princeton University and speaks Spanish, French and basic Italian.

Her experience has included the Alibaba IPO, Anheuser-Busch’s sale to InBev, Publicis’ acquisition of Razorfish, and Micron’s antitrust litigation with Rambus.
